Our Story
MEJARO - meh-JAR-oh
Our story is much like many other small businesses. We had a desire to provide more for our family and knew that we could do it better and more fairly than the many corporations we'd worked for. Now after nearly five years, we feel very blessed to have been able to help so many families. We not only like to help families with their home purchases but we also love to be able to give back to the community. Our time and donations are continually given to non-profit groups, Volunteer Associates (Hoosier 2 Hoosier sale, B-town Hot Summer Nights Festival, and many other charitable organizations). We work hard to provide not just for our employees but also for the community. We strive to continually give to organizations like the Boys and Girls Club of Bloomington, the Auxiliary to the Boys and Girls Club, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Hannah House, Cutters Soccer Club, andThe Teachers Warehouse, to name a few.
Meet The Team

Megan Mason
Owner/Office Manager
She's the ME in Mejaro! Megan graduated from the IU School of Journalism in 1995. When we had the opportunity to move back to the Hoosier state, we unanimously agreed the only place to live would be Bloomington. Not only is she the Office Manager for Mejaro, she also works part-time for Consider It Done Transition Services.

Rollie Mason
President/Owner/Home Inspector
Although he may bring up the tail end of Mejaro, he is by far the most important part of the team. He is passionate about home inspections, staying ahead of the technology curve, and continuing education. He grew up enjoying all IU sports and the family still attends most today. If you're at an IU football game, look for our tailgates, we will gladly welcome you for good food and conversation.

Scott Taylor
Home Inspector
Scott is a local firefighter and a seasoned inspector. He's also a graduate of Edgewood High School. His customer-service personality and eagerness to learn everything home inspection-related make him the perfect fit. This guy is on fire! Just don't put him on the spot, if you do, get ready for some Ricky Bobby-Esque "I don't know what to do with my hands" fun.

Kelly Houston
Client Care Coordinator
Kelly brings a positive attitude and honest approach to Mejaro. She's very family-oriented, enjoys cooking and working out. If she's not helping clients, there's a good chance she's thinking about the beach.

Jacob Mason
Inspector Assistant
The JA in Mejaro. As a senior at South, Jacob is involved in cross country, track, bowling, and many other clubs/events that keep us incredibly busy. When he is not running, bowling, or hanging with friends, you may see Jacob helping on an inspection.

Joris Gee
Home Inspector
When Joris is not inspecting, he's enjoying the great outdoors while golfing or on a lake with his family. He's practically IU royalty, as his grandfather played for Branch McCracken. If you want to hear some interesting IU history, he's your guy. While he'd like to be referred to as "the talent", we call him our lead inspector.

Candi Horsley
Client Care Coordinator
When Candi isn't helping our clients, you can catch her enjoying some fly-fishing or mountain hiking. She has a great work ethic and will brighten anyone's day with her sunny disposition.

Dillon Mason
Emotional Support Specialist
Dillon has not yet been trained to help with inspections, but he does greet us every day with a smile and a happy tail wag. We call him our silent partner.
