Building Consultant I

​

Qualified applicants MUST have the following:

• A home inspector license or the ability to obtain one within 30 – 90 days of hire

• Excellent communication skills – we work closely with potential buyers, current homeowners, and real estate professionals daily. Communication is crucial.

• Ability to learn the software used for our inspections

• Reliable transportation

• Reliable cell phone

• Interpersonal relationship skills. Teamwork and communication are essential.

• Proficient computer skills

The following would be preferred but not required:

• Experience/knowledge of the home inspection industry

• Closely related experience/education

• Knowledge of Infrared Thermal Imaging

• Knowledge of construction defects

•  Ability to work unsupervised and also part of a Team

​

The job is physically demanding and requires much physical activity, including:

• Carrying and using ladders

• Walking on roofs (heights)

• Entering confined spaces such as attics and crawl spaces

• Long periods of standing, driving, and typing

• Lifting items above your head, including attic access covers

• The candidate must be able to lift 50 lbs

• Entering homes with allergens, including pets, dust, mold, etc.
